About the Journal

Open Medical Reports (OMR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to clinically impactful research across the full breadth of internal medicine and women's health. The journal covers all subspecialties of internal medicine — including cardiology, pulmonology, critical care, gastroenterology, hepatology, nephrology, endocrinology and metabolism, rheumatology, hematology, infectious diseases, allergy and immunology, geriatrics, and neurology — as well as obstetrics and gynecology, encompassing maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology.

OMR prioritizes high-quality evidence that informs real-world clinical decision-making, including observational studies, large-scale database analyses, randomized controlled trials, and systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The journal particularly welcomes research leveraging real-world data, machine learning, and advanced analytics to address contemporary challenges in healthcare and health outcomes across these disciplines.

Original research articles, case reports, and brief communications are all considered, provided they offer novel clinical insights, address rare or emerging conditions, or contribute meaningfully to current practice. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review and must adhere to international standards for research integrity, transparency, and reporting in accordance with ICMJE and COPE guidelines.

The mission of Open Medical Reports is to accelerate the translation of evidence into clinical practice by ensuring rapid, unrestricted access to scientifically robust and clinically relevant findings for physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals worldwide.
